David Linton founded Updata in 1991 after several years trading and developing systems himself. He is a regular commentator on financial markets in the UK press and TV. He is himself an active investor using the Updata TA system for analysis and trading. He teaches the Ichimoku charting module for the Society of Technical Analysts' Diploma course. He still enjoys meeting clients face to face which is where he spends the majority of his time.
